Bhubaneswar:20/7/26:The state government has swiftly stepped in with financial support from the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund (CMRF) to help the grieving families during this difficult time.

Anil Das from Cuttack and Ashok Subare Raikar from Mumbai breathed their last on July 16 due to health complications. 

CM Majhi, through an official statement from his office, conveyed deep condolences and announced an ex-gratia payment of ₹10 lakh to the nearest kin of each deceased.

Puri, home to the revered Jagannath Temple and a major pilgrimage destination, sees a constant flow of devotees and visitors year-round. Such incidents, though rare, underscore the vulnerabilities faced even during what should be moments of spiritual solace.

The CM’s prompt response reflects the state’s commitment to standing by citizens and visitors in times of crisis.

The Chief Minister’s Relief Fund continues to serve as a vital lifeline for families affected by tragedies, offering immediate monetary assistance alongside emotional support.

This latest announcement is expected to bring some relief to the bereaved families as they navigate the loss of their loved ones.
