Rabi Paddy procurement starts in Bargarh : Procurement to commence in Balasore, Cuttack, Puri & Sambalpur on May 15

Bhubaneswar, 11/05/2026: The Rabi paddy procurement started in Bargarh district today. It is in full swing in the state, covering 20 districts in the current Rabi season. A total of 1,05,494 farmers have registered in the district out of which 96,37,7 farmers have been issued tokens. Similarly, the procurement will kick off in the districts of Balasore, Cuttack, Puri, and Sambalpur on 15th of this month. A total of 38,113 nos of farmers have registered in Balasore district for this Rabi season while 3518 in Cutta,ck, 22,236 in Puri and 19,113 nos of,farmsers in Sambalpur registered for this purpose. Tokens will be issued today after due verification. For this, extensive preparations are underway in the respective districts. Apart from this, the registered farmers are being given related information, and tokens are being issued.

To monitor this process, nodal officers appointed in each mandiare to keep a close watch on the process. The concerned district administrations have made extensive arrangements in each mandi in view of the summer heat and unseasonal rains. Similarly, temporary sheds, drinking water facilities, and the installation of CCTV have also been made in each mandi. Within 48 hours, farmers are being paid Rs. 3,100 per quinta,l including minimum support price and input subsidy, directly into their bank accounts.
