High-level discussion held in the 65th meeting of the Empowered Committee on Infrastructure(ECI) for PPP Projects

Bhubaneswar 11.05.2026:    The Empowered Committee on Infrastructure for PPP Projects under the chairpersonship of Chief Secretary, Odisha, Ms.AnuGarg, IAS, accorded in-principle approval to five new PPP projects, worth a total project cost of Rs. 1130 Crore across key sectors like health, sewerage treatment, urban development, water supply, and animal vaccine production.

In this context, the Committee also reviewed the ongoing pipeline of PPP projects and advised the concerned Departments/ Project Sponsoring Authorities to adhere to strict timelines as well as due diligence at each phase of project execution.

Chief Secretary emphasised on how PPP projects are critical to achieving the targets set for attracting private investment under “Vision 2036” and to the overall sustainability of a developed Odisha.

Further, the Committee granted in-principle approval to the collaboration between PPP Cell in the Finance Department and the International Finance Corporation (IFC) for building a pipeline of doable projects and a robust PPP-friendly ecosystem in the State.
