Preparatory meeting held on International Symposium on Shree Anna & Woman Farmer 2025

Bhubaneswar- 22/10/2025:The International Symposium on Shree Anna 2025 is going to be held on the 10th and 11th of November. The theme of this session will be “International Symposium on Shree Anna & Women’s Participation in Agricultural Heritage”. This time, a dedicated session is being organized on women farmers. Women’s participation in agriculture is similar to that of men. They are the true guardians of our traditional food crops. In this context, a meeting of the Monitoring Committee of the Agriculture & Farmers’ Empowerment Department was held today under the chairmanship of Dr. Arabinda Kumar Padhee.

The two-day International Symposium on Shree Anna will be inaugurated by the Hon’ble Chief Minister, and His Excellency the Governor will attend the Valedictory ceremony. Agriculturists, scientists, women agri-preneurs, NGOs, FPOs, international organizations like FAO, MSSRF, IFPRI, SEWA, etc., are participating in this symposium. A large number of farmers, entrepreneurs, and students will also participate in it. All the preparations are going on in full swing to make the symposium successful. This year’s mascot will be seen as wearing the amorous Phuta Saree of Mayurbhanj.

Director of Agriculture Shri Shubham Saxena, Dean of OUAT, Dr. Prasannajit Mishra, and  Additional Directors and senior officers were present in the meeting and presented information related to the organization of the International Symposium
