Odisha CMLaunches 471 Panchayat Offices :Disburses Antyodaya Gruha Yojana First Instalment

Bhubaneswar:19/10/25:Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi inaugurated the construction of 471 new Gram Panchayat offices across Odisha today. The event also marked the release of the first financial instalment for 48,693 beneficiaries under the Antyodaya Gruha Yojana, aimed at supporting vulnerable families.

The ceremony was held at the Chief Minister’s Conference Hall in Lok Seva Bhawan, Bhubaneswar, and connected officials and beneficiaries from multiple districts through a virtual platform.

New Panchayat Offices to Strengthen Rural Governance

The new offices are part of a statewide infrastructure initiative designed to improve administrative outreach and public service delivery in rural areas. CM Majhi emphasized that these offices would provide citizens with easier access to government services.

Antyodaya Gruha Yojana: First Instalment Released

During the same event, CM Majhi disbursed the first instalment under the third phase of the Antyodaya Gruha Yojana. This phase adds 48,693 new beneficiaries, excluding Kalahandi and Nuapada districts.

The scheme, which provides housing assistance to disadvantaged families, previously covered 60,000 beneficiaries in Phase 1 and 50,000 in Phase 2.

Who Can Benefit

Eligible individuals include:

• Persons with 40% or more disability

• Widows

• Patients suffering from serious illnesses such as kidney disease, heart disease, cancer, or tuberculosis

• Families of martyrs

• Recipients of the Padma Shri award

• Families affected by natural disasters like floods, cyclones, or fires

• Families impacted by elephant attacks causing loss of life or property

CM Majhi highlighted that the initiative reflects the government’s commitment to inclusive development, social welfare, and strengthening rural infrastructure across the state.
