Odisha Startups Showcased their Innovative Solutions at Rashtrapati Bhavan

Newdelhi:1/8/26:Odisha’s burgeoning entrepreneurship ecosystem under the endeavours of ‘Startup Odisha’ is gaining national prominence. Adding another milestone to its journey, three grassroots startups from the State showcased their homegrown solutions at an exclusive exhibition at the Rashtrapati Bhavan on Friday.

The founders of the startups from Odisha, GARGI Automated & Robotic Gadget Industries Private Limited, Newrup Tech Solutions, and Urban-Hyphae Bioscience, also had the opportunity to interact with the President of India, Smt. Droupadi Murmu at the exhibition hosted at the Cultural Centre, Rashtrapati Bhavan, New Delhi. The startups, along with other innovators from different parts of India under Atal Innovations Mission, were selected for this national-level event.

“Under the visionary leadership of the Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi, India is marching towards becoming a global entrepreneurial powerhouse. With the guidance of Chief Minister Shri Mohan Charan Majhi, the State is ushering in a new era of innovation. So this recognition of the Odisha startups in the national landscape is not only a celebration of their individual excellence but also a profound reflection of the growing potential of the State in India’s grassroots innovation ecosystem,” said Gokulananda Mallik, Minister, MSME, and Fisheries and Animal Resource Development Department, Government of Odisha, while congratulating the entrepreneurs of the State.

“Odisha Startup Policy has become instrumental in fostering the young and innovative talents of the region. Time and again, the next-gen startups from Odisha are winning the national spotlight with their indigenous ideas and global outlook,” said Rashmita Panda, Commissioner-cum-Secretary, MSME Department, on the occasion.

“Odisha is fostering a competitive environment for youth and women innovators in building future-ready solutions. Under Startup Odisha, the Government is ensuring necessary support and facilities like incubation, grants and platforms for new businesses to grow,” noted Smrutiranjan Pradhan, CEO, ‘Startup Odisha’.

GARGI Automated & Robotic Gadget Industries, founded by Shital Zemane, is developing innovative assistive technology solutions for persons with physical disabilities to address mobility challenges and enhance self-reliance. The Startup designs advanced automated and robotic products, including transformable bed-chairs and exoskeleton technologies, aimed at enabling greater accessibility and dignity in everyday life.
Newrup Tech Solutions, led by Anup Paikaray, is addressing critical challenges in clean cooking through CHULIV, an innovative solution designed to reduce indoor air pollution while improving fuel efficiency. CHULIV is reimagining traditional cooking practices in a cleaner, healthier, and more sustainable manner.

Similarly, Urban-Hyphae Bioscience, spearheaded by Adhiraj Mohapatra is driving innovation in sustainable materials by transforming agricultural waste into mushroom-based leather alternatives. The eco-friendly business supports the circular economy and offers a sustainable, cruelty-free alternative for the fashion and materials industry.

This recognition of the Odisha startups in the national landscape is not only a celebration of their individual excellence but also a profound reflection of the growing potential of India’s grassroots innovation ecosystem.
