Odisha CM conducted a high-level meeting to Reviews Rath Yatra Preparations in Puri

Purti:22/06/25: Ahead of the grand Rath Yatra festival, Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi conducted a high-level meeting in Puri to meticulously review all preparations. The session, held at the municipal council hall, focused on ensuring a seamless and secure experience for devotees and visitors . Comprehensive discussions were held on sanitation, health services, transportation, crowd regulation, and ensuring disciplined darshan for pilgrims.

Key Security and Service Measures Announced:

  • Deployment of 275 AI-based surveillance cameras across Puri
  • Five-tier security structure with 10,000 personnel on duty
  • Activation of Quick Response Teams and drones for crowd monitoring
  • Coast Guard presence along the beach zones
  • Medical support, including 69 primary health centres, 64 ambulances, 265 extra beds, and 378 doctors and paramedics
  • Specialist support from AIIMS doctors for emergency care

With these robust measures, authorities aim to ensure the Rath Yatra is conducted with utmost safety and spiritual sanctity. The CM emphasised coordination among departments to uphold Odisha’s global reputation for hosting one of the largest religious processions in the world.
