Leader of Opposition Naveen Patnaik has successfully undergone surgery for cervical arthritis

Mumbai:22/06/25:Leader of Opposition Naveen Patnaik has successfully undergone surgery for cervical arthritis at Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital in Mumbai.

The surgical procedure was led by renowned cardiovascular surgeon Dr. Ramakanta Panda, who is also Patnaik’s physician.

According to medical sources, Patnaik will remain under observation for two days following the operation. The hospital confirmed that the procedure was carried out smoothly and the patient is stable.

In a statement before the surgery, Mr. Patnaik posted on his official X handle, “As advised by doctors, I will be travelling to Mumbai on the 22nd for arthritis treatment. My doctor, Dr. Ramakanta Panda, will evaluate me there. Seeking Lord Jagannath’s blessings and best wishes from my Odia brothers and sisters. Hoping to return soon to continue serving everyone.”

The news of his procedure has drawn widespread public attention, with well-wishers across Odisha extending their prayers for his speedy recovery. Given his prominent political stature and enduring public service record, this development has been followed closely by supporters and citizens alike.
