Renowned mountaineer Bibharani Patra met Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi at Lok Seva Bhavan

Bhubaneswar: 2/8/24:Renowned mountaineer Bibharani Patra met Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi at Lok Seva Bhavan today, where she received blessings for her forthcoming mountaineering endeavour.

She is set to embark on her journey to scale Mount Elbrus, the tallest mountain in Russia and Europe, on August 6. The event was also graced by the presence of Dr. Mukesh Mahaling, Minister of Parliamentary Affairs and Health.

During the event, the Chief Minister honoured Bibharani and wished her a triumphant climb. He expressed that her courage serves as a profound inspiration to the youth. He further stated that her successful ascent of Europe and Russia’s highest summits would undoubtedly bring honour to both her and the state.

Notably, Bibharani hails from Meramundali near Talcher and has previously scaled Mount Stok Kangri in Leh Ladakh in 2019 and Mount Kilimanjaro in Africa in 2023. Additionally, she was recognized as the Abu Dhabi International Youth Leader in 2019 and has been the recipient of numerous national and international accolades.
