Bhubaneswar:24/2/24:Odisha CM Naveen Patnaik attending India Today’s State of the State Conclave-Odisha 2024, CM mentioned Odisha’s remarkable transformation in multiple fields. CM highlighted how the state has emerged as a favorite destination for investment in manufacturing and several frontier technologies including semiconductors.

CM said, that from a non-existent player in a sports ecosystem, Odisha has emerged as a model in sports development, adding that the State is building an enviable sports ecosystem in the country. “When our national hockey teams reached the podium after more than four decades in the Olympics, Odisha also basked in the nation’s glory with its partnership,” CM said.

Citing that Odisha has emerged as a unique model in women empowerment, CM said that after empowering women under MissionShakti, Odisha is embarking on a new journey to make them entrepreneurs. CM also mentioned Odisha’s higher percentage of women representatives in democratic institutions.

Stressing upon state’s healthcare schemes like BijuSwasthyaKalyanYojana, CM mentioned how it has been ensured that even the poorest person is not scared by the cost of treatment. Speaking about OdishaSchoolTransformation, CM said that the transformed classrooms with modern facilities and technologies have added wings to the dreams of our future citizens and encouraged them to dream big.

“When we embarked on this transformation journey, we made people as partners in progress. Banking on the principles of 5T, our singular vision is a New Odisha, an Empowered Odisha. Our transformative journey is a journey of empowerment for every individual of Odisha,” CM said.
