10th Edition of E-Summit at IIT Bhubaneswar celebrates a decade of achievements in Innovation

Bhubaneswar, 4^th February 2024: Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bhubaneswar has organized the 10^th Edition of E-Summit from 2^nd to 4^th February 2024, with a dazzling display of innovation, creativity, and entrepreneurial zeal. The mega-annual event marked a decade of fostering innovation, collaboration, and growth within the entrepreneurial ecosystem. The theme of E-Summit’24 was “Digital Renaissance: Entrepreneurial Resurgence”.

In the inaugural ceremony, Dr. Tapan Kumar Chand, President-Odisha & Chhattisgarh, Vedanta Limited, graced as the Chief Guest. Being an Indian mining veteran, executive, and author, he also addressed the audience, emphasizing the importance of entrepreneurship.

During the next two days, the Summit featured keynote speakers sharing insights on entrepreneurship, various workshops, competitions, and panel discussions. Participants showcased their potential in events like Startup Expo and Innovation Expo. The investors’ drive aimed to connect budding entrepreneurs with mentors, investors, and like-minded individuals. One of the highlights of the three-day event, a dummy IPL Auction, was also set in full swing. During this event, budding entrepreneurs connected with mentors, investors, and like-minded individuals.

This edition hosted a special event for school children to instil the entrepreneurial spirit in them. Coordinated by Dr Venugopal Arumuruand student volunteers, the event was sponsored by the Design and Innovation Centre of IIT Bhubaneswar.

The event was coordinated by a team of students, mentored by the Chairperson Dr. Sreetama Misra. Mr. S. Rutvij Ahlaad, Chief Coordinator of E-Summit’24, delivered the vote of thanks. Dean of Students Affairs, Prof. Rajesh Roshan Das, President of Student Gymkhana, faculty, and staff members of IIT Bhubaneswar also attended this event. The E-Summit’24 witnessed more than 2500 footfalls, making it a grand event.

The event was endorsed by various corporations such as Rinex, Vedanta, Mahanadi Coal Fields Limited, Design and Innovation Centre of IIT Bhubaneswar, Startup Centre, IIT Bhubaneswar, Odisha Computer Application Centre, Unacademy, and Odisha Hydro Power Corporation.

The 10th edition of the Entrepreneurship Fest showcased the celebration of resilience, creativity, and the power of entrepreneurship.
