Bhubaneswar:26/5/26: Thirty young talents from Odisha have begun a four-day educational journey to ISRO’s Satish Dhawan Space Centre (SDSC) at Sriharikota in Andhra Pradesh for hands-on exposure to India’s cutting-edge space research and launch capabilities.The educational tour was flagged off by Science and Technology Minister Krushna Chandra Patra at Pathani Samanta Planetarium in Bhubaneswar on Tuesday.
The minister said in his speech that”India is progressing rapidly in the world in the field of astronomy. I have strong hope and belief that the young talents of Odisha will also create new history in this field. In a joint effort of Tata Steel and Pathani Samanta Planetarium, the students thank Tata Steel for getting an opportunity to visit various ISRO centers and interact with prominent scientists of the country every year”.
Earlier, while the students had visited the ISRO center located in Ahmedabad and Bengaluru, for the first time this year, the winners of YATS are going to Sriharikota. The success of ambitious missions like Chandrayan and Gaganyan has given India a new identity at the global level. In the future, many of these students will be known as renowned scientists of the country and bring fame to the state and the country.
In this program organized, Additional Administrative Secretary of Science and Technology Department, Smt. Chitra Arumugam, Planetarium Director Smt. Urmiprabha Maharana, Chief Resident Executive of Tata Steel, and Mr. Mohit Das were present.
