Bhubaneswar-25/11/2025:Foundation stone laid for the new head office building of Odisha Agro Industries Corporation by the Hon’ble Deputy Chief Minister Shri Kanak Vardhan Singh Deo today. The new office building of Odisha Agro Industries Corporation (OAIC) at 95, Satyanagar, Bhubaneswar is an ambitious project that will serve as a central hub for stakeholder engagement, progressive programs, and strategic development aligned with government schemes. This initiative reflects a significant investment in infrastructure designed to enhance agricultural practices across the state. To be constructed at a project cost of Rs 83.77 crore in 1.46 acres having a built-up area of over 16500 sqm., this would be a 5-story state-of-the-art infrastructure with two main blocks and the design will be like Krushi Bhavan.
While addressing the gathering Hon’ble Deputy Chief Minister Shri Singh Deo said it will foster farmer education, technical training, and demonstration of government programs. Enhance irrigation capacity and support state agricultural policies through sustainable water initiatives. There will be a dedicated space for farmers, manufacturers, and experts to interact and share insights. Facilities for workshops, demonstrations, and technology showcases, introducing farmers to modern agricultural equipment and practices across the state
Mandate & Goals of OAIC
Subsidized sale of farm machinery, equipment, implements, and other agricultural inputs like fertilizers and pesticides, providing irrigation solutions to ensure efficient delivery to farming communities, said Agriculture Secretary Dr. Arabinda Kumar Padhee. Expand the adoption of innovative advanced agricultural equipment, bio-fertilizers, and animal feeds.
It is informed in this regard that the government has taken steps for the beautification of the Krushi Bhavans existing in different districts and in the Patnagarh subdivision. New Krushi Bhawan has also been established in Dhenkanal. The total financial involvement of such projects as of date has been to the tune of 11.81 crore. Inauguration of the newly constructed Krushi Bhawans has been completed at Sambalpur, Bolangir, and Patnagarh. The other attendees include Director Agriculture Shri Shubham Saxena, Director Soil Conservation & Watershed Management Shri Subrat Kumar Panda, Director Horticulture, Shri Kalunge Gorakh Waman, and officers from the Agriculture department.
