New Delhi, November 14, 2025: The 44th India International Trade Fair (IITF) 2025 has opened its doors for exhibitors at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi. Odisha Deputy Chief Minister Smt Pravati Parida inaugurated the Odisha Pavilion, marking the beginning of the State’s engaging presence at IITF 2025 on Friday.

The 14-day trade extravaganza, celebrating the spirit of ‘Ek Bharat, Shresth Bharat’, is bringing together delegates and visitors worldwide to witness India’s diverse socio-economic progress and cultural vibrancy.

One of the centres of attraction at the event this year is Odisha Mandap (Pavilion), which presents an evocative narrative of the State’s indigenous art, culture, heritage, and transformative developmental journey.

Set up at Hall No. 4, First Floor of Bharat Mandapam, the Odisha Pavilion has been designed as an immersive experience that reflects both the timeless traditions and modern aspirations of the state.

Deputy CM Smt Pravati Parida heaped praises on the design of Odisha Mandap while inaugurating the pavilion and expressed confidence that it will be a centre of attraction in IITF 2025.

“The pavilion reflects Odisha’s development in agriculture, tourism, heritage, industries, trade, and other sectors. The display of art and crafts, spiritual tourism, handlooms, apart from indigenous products of our state will definitely attract visitors at the fair,” she said while highlighting that Odisha is the foremost state in women empowerment, and extensive participation of women in the trade fair is a testament to that.

The inaugural ceremony was graced by Special Resident Commissioner Smt. Ritu Arora, Additional Resident Commissioner Smt. Sucharita Sarangi, Director I&PR Shri. Anuj Kumar Das Pattanaik, Director (Technical), Shri. Gurbir Singh, Pavilion Director Shri. Aswini Kumar Bhoi, among other senior officials.

Featuring 28 thematic stalls from various departments of the State government, Odisha Pavilion highlights the state’s achievements and potential across key areas. Rural products from coffee to organic spices, bamboo jewellery to organic food items produced by Subhadra Shakti women have been put on display at the fair.

Odisha’s spiritual and cultural identity is beautifully reflected through the pavilion’s design — with a magnificent replica of the Singha Dwara (Lion’s Gate) of the Shri Jagannath Temple, Puri, adorning its main entrance. Inside the pavilion, visitors can also see representations of the Dhauli Shanti Stupa, Dhokra metal crafts, and a model of Paradip Port with a ship. Adding to the visual grandeur, another entrance of the pavilion features Boita Dwara, a tribute to Odisha’s glorious maritime history and global trade legacy.

Arrangements have also been made for live demonstrations of traditional Odia artisans where visitors can witness their skill and creativity through traditional crafts like Pattachitra, Silver Filigree work, Sabai Grass art, and Lac products.

The Odisha Pavilion is expected to be a visual treat and a rich learning experience, inviting visitors from across India and abroad to experience the essence of a Transforming Odisha under Vision @2036.
