State level Children Festival “MAHAK” kicked off More than 500 children of the State participated

Bhubaneswar- 11/11/2025:A: A state-level children’s festival, “Mahak,” was inaugurated today at Kalinga Stadium. This 5-day event is being organised by the Departments of Women and Child Development, Mission Shakti, and Odisha State Child Protection Society. Over 500 children from all over the State will showcase their talents in solo singing, group dance, debate, painting, and quiz competition. The festival stands as a testament to Odisha’s unwavering belief that every child deserves a stage to shine.

On this inaugural day, Deputy Chief Minister Smt. Pravati Parida, Minister, Law, Work, and Exci,se Sri Prithiviraj Harichandan, Principal Secretary of WCD, Smt. Shubha Sarma, Director of ICDS, Monisha Banerjee, Addl. Secretary of WCD Sri Krutibas Rout, amongotherss graced the occasion. They remarked that every child is a promise of Odisha’s brighter tomorrow. They also encouraged them to dream high and utilize their abilities as instruments of change.

On this occasion, a Coffee Table Book on “Mission Vatsalya” was unveiled, showcasing Odisha’s transformative journey in child protection. A video on the achievement of “Mission Vatsalya” beneficiaries was also screened.
