Bhubaneswar Gears Up for Grand “Indian Roads Congress extravaganza” With Cultural Showcase and Odia Hospitality

Bhubaneswar, 05.11.2025: The capital city is preparing to host the prestigious Indian Roads  Congress (IRC), where more than 3,500 delegates from across India and abroad are expected to participate. The city has been decorated beautifully to reflect the cultural vibrancy of Odisha, giving visitors a warm and festive welcome. The event will not only focus on discussions related to roads and infrastructure but will also highlight the rich cultural heritage of the state through music, dance and artistic performances.

The cultural stage will present a vibrant lineup of performances, ranging from the powerful voice of India’s rock-star sensation Ruturaj Mohanty to the melodious charm of Barnaali Hota of Dil Hai Hindustani fame. Delegates will also enjoy high-energy contemporary music and the rhythmic flair of the Dhuduki band. On November 7, the renowned Gunjan Dance Academy will showcase the grace of Odissi dance. The Shivangi Musical Troupe will present a soulful Sangeet Symphony, while Nakshatra Gurukul will perform the traditional Gottipua dance. The Kalabhumi Dance Institute will bring the lively spirit of Sambalpuri folk dance to the stage. The final evening will conclude with a soulful musical performance by renowned playback singer Krishna Beura.

Special arrangements have been made to host exclusive programs for women delegates. These include devotional and cultural sessions inspired by Geeta Govinda, interactive music and games, live sand animation, traditional dance showcases, guided city tours and a dedicated fashion and ramp show. The objective is to offer women participants an enriching cultural experience alongside the main conference proceedings.

In the spirit of Atithi Devo Bhava, delegates will be served authentic Odia cuisine prepared with care to ensure they take back the lingering aroma and taste of Odisha. Signature dishes such as Cuttack’s Aloodam Dahi Bara, Kendrapara’s Rasabali, along with Pakhal Kansa and Dalma will be included on the menu at hotels and conference venues. To accommodate all delegates, 800 rooms have been reserved across 30 hotels in the city, and special training has been provided to hospitality and tour coordinators to ensure that the guests are welcomed warmly and hosted with the finest standards of care.
