FIFTH AKSHAYA UPANYASA PURASKAR to Writer Lopamudra Mishra

Bhubaneswar:29/10/25:To nurture and celebrate literary creativity in Odisha, the Pratibha Ray Foundation Trust, founded by eminent writer and Jnanpith awardee Dr. Pratibha Ray, has instituted the Akshaya Upanyasa Puraskar.

The distinguished jury for this edition of the award has unanimously chosen writer Lopamudra Mishra as the recipient of the Fifth Akshaya Upanyasa Puraskar for her remarkable novel “Chitralipi”, published by Paschima Publications.

Heartiest congratulations to the awardee, and warm appreciation to the publisher for bringing this significant work to readers.

First Akshaya Upanayasa Puraskar was conferred on writer Swagatika Swain for her novel Drohakala”; the second Akshaya Upanayasa Puraskar was conferred on writer Ranjan Pradhan, for his bookBudha Balangara Majhi“; 3rd Akshaya Upanayasa Puraskar was conferred on writer Nirmal Rout for his historical novel Galani Ta Gala Katha.  Fourth Akshaya Upanyasa Puraskar was awarded to writer  Subhranshu Panda for his acclaimed novel ITARA

The award carries with it a trophy, citation & a cash prize of Rs 51,000/-. The award presentation ceremony will be held on 20th November at 6:00 PM at Jayadeb Bhawan, Bhubaneswar.

Speaking about the award, Dr. Adyasha Das, Managing Trustee of the Pratibha Ray Foundation Trust, stated that this honour reflects the Trust’s deep regard for literary excellence and its unwavering commitment to fostering creativity and innovation in Odia literature

He had made solid contribution on cinema in many odia Dailies and weekly such as Samaj, Prajatantra, Dharatri, Samaya, Satabadi, and weekly Samaya.
