State-Level Band Competition 2025 Held for School Students

Bhubaneswar, October 24, 2025:The State-Level Instrumental Music Competition 2025 was held this forenoon at Government Girls’ High School, Unit-6, Bhubaneswar. Smt. Niyati Pattnayak, Director, DHSE, graced the occasion as Chief Guest and addressed the students on the importance and objectives of organizing such band competitions. She appreciated the talents and performances of the participating students representing different zones of Odisha and encouraged them to pursue excellence in the field of music

Sri Birendra Karkara, Director, Directorate of Secondary Education, attended as the Chief Speaker and extended his best wishes to all participating teams for their enthusiastic performances. In the inaugural session, Smt. Sujatabala Das, Headmistress of the host school, delivered the welcome address, while Sri Himansu Bhusan Samarth, Joint Director, OSEPA, gave vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to all guests and officials present at the event.

The valedictory ceremony, held in the afternoon, was graced by Smt. Smita Raut, Director, Odisha Adarsha Vidyalaya Sangathan, as Chief Guest. She congratulated the students for their remarkable performances and presented certificates and trophies to the winners. She also urged the students to continue their practice and strive for greater achievements in the future. Sri Bhawani Prasad Mishra, State Nodal Officer, PM Poshan, joined as the Guest Speaker and encouraged the students with his inspiring words. The ceremony concluded with a vote of thanks gave by Dr. Santosh Kumar Raut, Joint Director, OSEPA.

The State-Level Band Competition 2025 witnessed participation from 332 students and 24 accompanying teachers representing six zones of the state. Alongside, the State-Level Kala Utsav 2025 was also celebrated at the same venue. The entire programme was coordinated by Dr. Santosh Kumar Raut, Joint Director, OSEPA, with support from Smt. Prachi Tanaya Giri, Joint Director, Sri Pradosh Kumar Nayak, and Sri Tanmaya Kumar Behera, Deputy Directors, along with Smt. Jaya Banerjee, Training Associate, and Sri Muralidhar Parida, Teacher.
