Global Energy Leaders Summit to be held in Odisha on 6th & 7th December

Bhubaneswar- 23/10/2025:The Global Energy Leaders Summit is being organized in Odisha on December 6-7, jointly organized by the Tony Blair Institute and the Odisha Government. Many eminent personalities from the country and abroad will participate in it. Among them are former UK Prime Minister Tony Blair, former Finland Prime Minister and TBI Strategic Counselor Sanna Marin, and energy ministers of the UAE, Singapore, and Bhutan. Energy ministers of all Indian states will participate in this summit and will also address the session.

In this context, a preparatory meeting was held under the chairmanship of Deputy Chief Minister and Energy Minister Shri Kanak Vardhan Singh Deo. The conference will provide a good platform for investment and promotion in India’s power sector and will help in building a great Odisha by keeping the economy in harmony with the ecology, Deputy Chief Minister Shri Singh Deo said.

The two-day conference has various sessions. It will also feature a display of Odisha’s art, culture, and history. The meeting was attended by the Principal Secretary, Energy Department Shri Vishal Kumar Dev, CMD, OPTCL Shri Bhaskar Jyoti Sharma, MD Gridco Shri Satya Priya Rath, TBI’s Vivek Agrawal, Ninad Sagar, and Pierre Walsh (virtual).
