Development Commissioner-cum-ACS AnuGarg reviews progress of Kanupur, Subarnarekha and Anandpur Projects

Bhubaneswar:7/10/25:Development Commissioner-cum-Additional Chief Secretary to Government, Odisha, IAS, reviews progress of Kanupur, Subarnarekha, and Anandpur Projects in a meeting held at Conference Hall of Department of Water Resources, Odishatoday on 6.10.2025.

In the meeting held, it was revealed that the head works in the Kanupur irrigation Project are almost ready except for the depletion sluice and the erection of some gates, progress of which was hampered due to the early monsoon. The Main Canal and distribution system are completed at 94% and 75% respectively. Rabi Irrigation to the tune of 12000 Ha. Will be provided in the coming Rabi season. Phase 1 of the Subarnarekha irrigation Project is fully complete, and Phase II is progressing well.

Anandpur Project is also progressing well. Link Canal is complete. Baitarani Right Bank Canal and Salandi Left Main Canal are on the verge of completion. 12000 Ha.ayacut has already been developed, and other distribution systems are in progress.
