Mumbai:19/08/2025:Hon’ble Deputy Chief Minister Shri Kanak Vardhan Singh Deo participated in the 4th Confederation of Indian Industries, East India Summit 2025 held today at Hotel Taj Mahal Palace, Mumbai, Maharashtra. The East India Summit of the Confederation of Indian Industry is a flagship initiative focused on unlocking the vast economic potential of Eastern India. The Summit highlights the exclusive state-specific sessions, policy roundtables, and dialogue platforms between investors and government representatives.

Hon’ble Deputy CM, Odisha, Shri Singh Deo, in his keynote address, said that Odisha offers an investible proposition with mineral endowment, deep water ports, robust rail & road linkages, availability of land, and natural resources for the port-led industrial growth.
Odisha is building integrated industrial ecosystems, export-oriented manufacturing corridors with logistic and market access as strategic priorities. Odisha is open for strategic partnerships- anchor manufacturing, advanced technology, greenfield value chains. As the Hon’ble Prime Minister says, this is the right time to invest in East India, Deputy CM invited industrialists to invest in Odisha.

Deputy CM also said that our government has grounded a record no.of 56 projects, representing an investment of ₹ 1.78 lakh crore & creating a job potential of 1.11 lakh, and aiming to generate one lakh new jobs, ensuring inclusive growth.

The CII East India Summit catalyzed transformation of the region into an economic powerhouse.
