Meeting held regarding the proposals for establishment of new agriculture & allied sciences colleges

Bhubaneswar- 18/08/2025:A meeting was held today at Lok Seva Bhawan under the chairmanship of Deputy Chief Minister and Minister of Agriculture and Farmers Empowerment, Energy, Shri Kanak Vardhan Singh Deo, regarding the proposal for the establishment of new Agriculture & Allied Science Colleges in the State.

The meeting discussed the proposals to open agriculture & allied sciences colleges in different locations in the state. Agriculture and allied sciences will help in increasing productivity and developing sustainable & profitable farming systems in the respective sectors.
Deputy Chief Minister Shri Singh Deo discussed proposals for establishment of agriculture and allied sciences colleges in different locations in the State. As per the manifesto promise, the proposal for the establishment of another Agriculture University in Sambalpur was also discussed.

The meeting was attended by Principal Secretary, Agriculture and Farmers Empowerment, Dr. Arabinda Kumar Padhee, Finance Department, Shri Sanjeeb Kumar Mishra, Fisheries and Animal Resources Development, Shri Suresh Kumar Basith, and Vice Chancellor, OUAT, Prof. Pravat Kumar Raul, who presented many important opinions on the proposal of Agricultural & Allied College
