Odisha Government has made a significant reshuffle in the IAS officer’ level

Bhubaneswar: 24/7/25:The Odisha Government has made a significant reshuffle at the IAS officer level. According to a notification issued by the General Administration and Public Grievance Department, Rajesh Prabhakar Patil, Commissioner of Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC), has been appointed as Commissioner-cum-Secretary to the Government, Co-operation Department.

He will retain his additional charge as Special Secretary to the Government, Housing & Urban Development Department, and Chairman, Odisha State Warehousing Corporation.

Dr. Bijay Ketan Upadhyaya, Director, Odia Language, Literature & Culture, with additional charge of Director, Odisha Paribar, will remain in charge of the Secretary, Odia Language, Literature & Culture Department.

Samarth Verma, Director, Technical Education & Training, Odisha, has been appointed as Director, Minor Minerals, Bhubaneswar. The post of Director, Minor Minerals has been declared equivalent in status and responsibility to the post of Additional Secretary in the IAS Cadre of the State. He will retain his additional charge as Managing Director, Odisha Film Development Corporation.

Deepankar Mohapatra, Ex-Director, Sports, with additional charge of Chief Executive Officer, Hockey Promotion Council, Odisha, has been appointed as Chief Executive Officer, Hockey Promotion Council, Odisha. The post of Chief Executive Officer, Hockey Promotion Council, Odisha, has been declared equivalent in status and responsibility to the post of Joint Secretary in the IAS Cadre of the State.

Several IAS officers who have completed Phase-II training have also been appointed to new positions. These include:

Preksha Agrawal as Sub-Collector, Dharamgarh, and Sub-Divisional Magistrate, Dharmagarh, in the district of Kalahandi.

Pranita Dash as Sub-Collector, Baliguda, and Sub-Divisional Magistrate, Baliguda, in the district of Kandhamal.

Kasturi Panda as Sub-Collector, Panchpir, Karanjia, and Sub-Divisional Magistrate, Panchpir, Karanjia, in the district of Mayurbhanj.

Abhishek Dilip Dudhal as Sub-Collector, Gunupur, and Sub-Divisional Magistrate, Gunupur, in the district of Rayagada.

Ashni A L as Sub-Collector, Nabarangpur, and Sub-Divisional Magistrate, Nabarangpur.

C Saravanan as Sub-Collector, Kuchinda, and Sub-Divisional Magistrate, Kuchinda, in the district of Sambalpur.

Tejaswini Behera as Sub-Collector, Sundargarh, and Sub-Divisional Magistrate, Sundargarh.

Shiv Malviya as Sub-Collector, Anandpur, and Sub-Divisional Magistrate, Anandpur, in the district of Keonjhar.

Avinash Kumar as Sub-Collector, Berhampur, and Sub-Divisional Magistrate, Berhampur, in the district of Ganjam.
