Professor Jagneshwar Dandapat has appointed as the In-Charge Vice-Chancellor of Utkal University

Bhubaneswar:27/5/25: Odisha governor and chancellor of state universities Dr. Hari Babu Kambhampati has appointed Professor Jagneshwar Dandapat as the In-Charge Vice-Chancellor of Utkal University with immediate effect from Tuesday.

A notification issued by the Governor’s House confirmed the appointment. Professor Dandapat, a senior faculty member in Biotechnology at Utkal University, will hold the position until a new Vice-Chancellor takes charge or until further orders.

“In supersession of this Office Notification No. 10304/SG (HE) dated 21.11.2024, the Hon’ble Chancellor, Utkal University, Bhubaneswar, has been pleased to appoint Prof. Jagneshwar Dandapat, Professor of Biotechnology, Utkal University, Bhubaneswar, as the In-Charge Vice-Chancellor of Utkal University with immediate effect, until the new Vice-Chancellor assumes charge or until further orders, whichever is earlier,” the notification stated.

This interim appointment is aimed at ensuring administrative continuity and academic leadership at one of Odisha’s leading educational institutions.
