Meeting on scientific research and technological advancements held

Bhubaneswar- 07-08-2026Food Supplies & Consumer Welfare, Science & Technology Minister Shri Krushna Chandra Patra discussed with the heads of major institutions of the Central Government located in the state in the conference hall of the State Guest House. The institutions that participated in this discussion were – NISER, ILS, IIT, IMMT, RMRC.

The heads of the institutions discussed the key programs of their respective institutions in detail and briefed the Minister about the major programs intended to be undertaken in the coming days.

Shri Patra appreciated the significant contributions of these premier institutions working towards advancing science, technology and innovation. He emphasized the need for closer collaboration between the State and these institutions to leverage scientific research and technological advancements for the socio-economic development of Odisha.

The meeting concluded with a shared commitment to strengthening cooperation between the Government of Odisha and the participating institutions for advancing the State’s science, technology, and innovation ecosystem.

Among others, the Additional Principal Secretary of Science and Technology, S mt Chithra Arumugam, and other senior officers were present.
