Odisha Govt to Celebrate Two‑Year Anniversary

Bhubaneswar:14/5/26: Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi directed officials to celebrate the BJP government’s two‑year anniversary in a simple manner, focusing on achievements rather than grand festivities. The anniversary will be observed from June 12 to June 21 at both the state and district levels.

During a preparatory meeting at Lok Seva Bhawan, the Chief Minister emphasised that the current global situation, particularly the Middle East crisis, requires restraint. He advised ministers and officials to highlight government accomplishments through information dissemination instead of lavish events.

The government will release booklets, leaflets, and digital content across print, electronic, and social media platforms. Each department will showcase its progress through press conferences and publications. The celebrations will revolve around seven themes: Shakti Odisha, Samruddha Krushi Odisha, Sustha Odisha, Nirmana Odisha, Utkarsha Odisha, Janashakti Odisha, and Kaushal Odisha.

Officials confirmed that the anniversary programs will also outline the government’s vision for 2026‑2036, presenting long‑term goals in development, welfare, and infrastructure. Ministers will submit departmental report cards, which will be shared with the public to underline transparency and accountability.

Deputy Chief Ministers Kanak Vardhan Singhdeo and Pravati Parida, Revenue Minister Suresh Pujari, Law Minister Prithviraj Harichandan, Panchayati Raj Minister Rabi Narayan Naik, Advisor Prakash Mishra, Chief Secretary Anu Garg, and senior officials attended the meeting.
