Odisha paid rich tributes to Maharaja Krushna Chandra Gajapati Narayan Dev on his birth anniversary

Bhubaneswar:26/4/26: Odisha on Sunday paid rich tributes to Maharaja Krushna Chandra Gajapati Narayan Dev on his birth anniversary, remembering his pivotal role in the formation of the separate Odisha province and his contributions as a visionary leader and statesman.

The commemorative programme was held at the Odisha Legislative Assembly premises, where Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi, Deputy Chief Minister Kanak Vardhan Singh Deo, Bhubaneswar (Ekamra) MLA Babu Singh, and other dignitaries paid floral tributes to the legendary leader.

Widely regarded as the architect of Naba Utkal and one of the key figures behind the unification of Odia-speaking regions, Krushna Chandra Gajapati was born on April 26, 1892, in the royal family of Paralakhemundi in Ganjam district. He was known for his love of literature, administrative acumen, and deep commitment to public service.
