ORMAS and Subhadra Shakti, witnessed an unprecedented crowd on Sunday evening

Bhubaneswar, January 18, 2026: The mega rural fair Sisir Saras–2026, being held at the IDCO Exhibition Grounds in the capital city of Bhubaneswar under the joint sponsorship of ORMAS and Subhadra Shakti, witnessed an unprecedented crowd on Sunday evening.
The overwhelming public response was driven by people’s enthusiasm for the wide range of rural products available at the fair’s stalls, strong interest in Odisha’s traditional handloom and handicrafts, and the rich aroma and variety of food served at the food stalls, all of which drew a large number of visitors to the fairground.
Considering the growing public demand, ORMAS has decided to extend the fair by two additional days. Originally scheduled to conclude on Sunday, Sisir Saras–2026 will now continue through Monday and Tuesday.
On Sunday evening, visitors thronged the fairground, purchasing household items and rural products while also enjoying a wide variety of delicacies at the food stalls.
To further enliven the fair atmosphere, artists presented a vibrant mix of modern and traditional dance and music performances on the main stage, which successfully captivated the audience. Despite the winter chill, the crowd was thoroughly entertained by the musical band ‘Nirbak’ led by popular Odia actress and singer Prakruti Mishra, while the humorous performance by renowned Odia comedian Pragyan Ojha kept the audience laughing throughout the evening.
With its attractive showcase of handicrafts, handloom products, indigenous cuisine, and rich cultural traditionsSisir Saras–2026 has carved a distinct identity as one of the largest and most popular rural fairs in the country.
