Odisha Chief Minister formally unveiled the beautifully crafted wall calendar, desk calendar, and special diary published by the Shree Jagannath Temple Administration

Puri: 18/12/25:Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi on Wednesday formally unveiled the beautifully crafted wall calendar, desk calendar, and special diary for the English New Year 2026, published by the Shree Jagannath Temple Administration (SJTA).

The launch ceremony took place after the first copies of the publications were offered to Lord Jagannath at the Shree Mandir in Puri on the occasion of **Dhanu Sankranti.

The exquisite calendars showcase stunning images of Mahaprabhu Lord Jagannath in various divine attires (beshas) and grand scenes from the world-famous **Rath Yatra**, rendered through traditional Odisha art forms such as sand art (baluka kala), pattachitra, palm leaf engraving (talapatra khodai), and conventional stone carving.

Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Minister highlighted the cultural significance of these publications in promoting Odisha’s rich heritage and devotion to Lord Jagannath.

The calendars and diaries will be available for sale to devotees in the coming days at the Shree Mandir Information Centres in Puri and Bhubaneswar.

Present at the event were SJTA Chief Administrator Dr Arabinda K Padhee, Principal Secretary of Law Department Dr Pabitra Mohan Samal, Puri District Collector Dibyajyoti Parida, Superintendent of Police Prateek Singh, SJTA Administrator (Development) Debarata Sahu, and SJTA Administrator (Rituals) Jitendra Kumar Sahu, among others.
