Pradhan Mantri Dhan Dhanya Krishi Yojana to be launched by Hon’ble Prime Minister on 11th

Bhubaneswar- 09/10/2025Today, a meeting was held with all the agriculture ministers of the country under the chairmanship of Hon’ble Union Minister of Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare, Rural Development, Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan, through video conference. A preparatory meeting was held in the context of the schemes and initiatives to be launched by the Hon’ble Prime Minister on 11th October. Deputy Chief Minister of Odisha and Minister of Agriculture and Farmers’ Empowerment, Energy, Shri Kanak Vardhan Singh Deo, Minister of Fisheries and Animal Resources Development, Shri Gokulananda Mallik, attended it.

According to Union Minister Shri Chouhan, Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi will address the nation through video conferencing from New Delhi and launch the Pradhan Mantri Dhan Dhanya Krishi Yojana. Similarly, the foundation stone of a state-of-the-art wholesale fish market will be laid in Bhubaneswar, and the foundation stone of an integrated aqua park at Hirakud will be laid through VC by the Hon’ble Prime Minister. He will also interact with farmers on this occasion. The program will be live telecast in all Krishi Vigyan Kendras in the state. All the preparations for the state-level program by the Odisha government have reached the final stage.

The government has prepared these schemes to ensure food security in the country, provide nutritious food to the people, and increase farmers’ income and production. More than 50 lakh farmers and FPOs of the country will benefit from the above initiatives. This year, a record amount of vegetables and food grains has been produced in the country compared to the previous years. Union Minister Shri Chouhan has called for self-reliance in the production of pulses and oilseeds.

Principal Secretary, Agriculture Department, Dr. Arabinda Kumar Padhee, Director of Agriculture, Shri Shubham Saxena, senior officers of the Agriculture Department, and the Fisheries and Animal Resources Development Department were present in the meeting.
