Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw  inaugurates the NIELIT Centre in Balasore

Union Minister for Electronics and Information Technology Ashwini Vaishnaw inaugurates the National Institute of Electronics and Information Technology (NIELIT) Digital University (NDU) Platform in New Delhi.

The platform is designed to democratize access to high-quality digital education. The Minister also virtually inaugurates five other NIELIT Centres at Muzaffarpur in Bihar, Balasore in Odisha, Tirupati in Andhra Pradesh, Lunglei in Mizoram, and Daman.

The Centre offers courses in AI, Cybersecurity, Semiconductors, and other emerging technologies. Advanced digital platforms will deliver future-ready training to Odisha’s youth. Students from across the state can now access high-tech learning opportunities.

Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi praised the Centre’s launch. He thanked the Prime Minister and Union Minister for supporting digital skilling in Odisha.

The Centre will create new employment and learning avenues for students. Odisha aims to build a digitally empowered generation through this initiative. The state plans to strengthen its role in India’s digital transformation.

NIELIT Balasore will train students in Artificial Intelligence and Cybersecurity. Semiconductor technology and digital systems are part of the curriculum. The Centre uses modern tools to deliver hands-on learning experiences. Industry-relevant programs will prepare students for global tech careers. Digital skilling will help Odisha contribute to India’s IT ecosystem.

The inauguration of the NIELIT Centre in Balasore marks a major milestone in Odisha’s digital journey. By offering advanced courses in AI, Cybersecurity, and Semiconductors, the Centre empowers students with future-ready skills. This initiative strengthens Odisha’s role in India’s digital transformation and opens new doors for youth across the state to thrive in the tech-driven economy.
