Bhubaneswar: 08.07.2025:Government of Odisha, vide Home (Special Section) Department Notification No.- 1389/C, Bhubaneswar, dated 29.06.2025, has ordered an enquiry on the tragic incident of stampede, that led to death of three devotees near the Gundicha temple, Puri, on 29.06.2025, by the Development Commissioner-cum-Additional Chief Secretary, Odisha.

In this connection, any person or organization, having any information or evidence (including video footage) about the circumstances leading to the incident, have been requested to share the same in person with the Development Commissioner-cum-Additional Chief Secretary, Odisha, Lok Seva Bhawan, Bhubaneswar, in her office or by mail at [email protected] by 20.07.2025 (Except on holidays).

The public hearings will be held at the State Guest House, Bhubaneswar, on 09.07.2025 (3.00 PM onwards) and the Special Circuit House, Puri, on 10.07.2025 (3.00 PM onwards). For any further information on the matter, it has been requested to contact the o/o the Development Commissioner-cum-Additional Chief Secretary, Odisha at (0674) 2536882/ 2391970.
