State infrastructure is being strengthened for the construction of EV stations and solar power generation – Deputy Chief Minister Shri K V Singhdeo

Bhubaneswar – 14/05/2025:Under the leadership of the Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, India has become a leading country in the field of renewable energy. Odisha’s contribution to this is increasing significantly. To move forward with the goal of a Viksit Odisha, we have to increase the use of green energy, renewable energy. Under the PM Surya Ghar Yojana, along with installing solar panels on the rooftop through subsidies. Likewise, the infrastructure is being strengthened for the construction of EV stations for charging electric vehicles throughout Odisha. For this, the Odisha EV Policy will be brought soon, said Deputy Chief Minister and Energy Minister Shri Kanak Vardhan Singh Deo.

In this context, a company named Sarvotech met Deputy Chief Minister Shri Singhdeo today in the conference hall of Lok Seva Bhavan. He made a presentation on solar power generation and the construction of EV stations in the state. Odisha’s power infrastructure is very strong. Three DISCOMs of Odisha have secured a place among the top 10 power distribution companies of the country, while another is in the top 15. Apart from this, the state of Uttar Pradesh has also shown interest in adopting Odisha’s electricity management model. The representatives have already taken a field visit.
