Odisha Chief Minister has inaugurated Rs 420 crore worth of development projects in MayurbhanJ

Mayurbhanj:13/5/25:  Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi has inaugurated Rs 420 crore worth of development projects in Mayurbhanj district, marking a significant step towards infrastructure and industrial growth. The projects include 133 initiatives worth Rs 328 crore, alongside 52 projects valued at Rs 91 crore, covering education, sports, and industrial expansion. Among the key announcements, the CM declared the establishment of a +2 college at Bisoi Block Headquarters and the renaming of the Bisoi Mini Stadium after Dharanidhar Nayak, with a statue of the revered figure to be installed. Additionally, the government has pledged Rs 10,000 crore for industrial development in the district, promising new employment opportunities and economic prosperity.

Speaking at the event, CM Majhi emphasised the government’s commitment to fulfilling public aspirations, highlighting achievements such as opening the four gates of Srimandir, introducing the Subhadra scheme for women, and raising the minimum support price for paddy to Rs 3,100. He reiterated the administration’s focus on empowering rural communities, improving infrastructure, and fostering economic growth.

The Chief Minister announced that the government has formulated 36 clear programs to achieve various goals by the year 2036, a plan referred to as “36 for 36.” With your cooperation, we aim to build a prosperous Odisha, harnessing the efforts of 4.5 crore people in the state. This will be the Odisha of our dreams.Our vision for a prosperous Odisha includes excelling in all areas, such as education, health, industry, and infrastructure. Additionally, we are committed to ensuring that all basic amenities are accessible to our brothers and sisters at the lowest rungs of society. The Chief Minister emphasised that clean water, improved healthcare, quality electricity, and better transportation facilities will be available to everyone.

During the event, the Chief Minister also distributed death assistance to local beneficiaries. Funds were provided for marriage incentives to the daughters of laborers, and financial assistance of Rs 10 lakh was given to women in self-help groups.

During the event, several dignitaries were present on the main stage, including Dr. Krushna Chandra Mahapatra, the Minister for Housing and Urban Development; Ganesh Ram Singh Khuntia, the Minister of Forest and Environment; Mamata Mahanta, the MP for Mayurbhanj; Pratap Chandra Sarangi, the MP for Balasore; Naba Charan Majhi, another MP for Mayurbhanj; Bhaskar Chandra Madhei, the MLA for Udala; Jalen Naik, the MLA for Rairangpur; Prakash Soren, the MLA for Baripada; and Ms. Sanjali Murmu, the MLA for Bangiriposi.

The welcome address was delivered by Bhadav Hansdah, the MLA for Saraskana, while the vote of thanks was proposed by Hemakant Say, the District Collector of Mayurbhanj.
