20th Secretariat Cup Cricket Tournament – 2025 IDCO clinches victory over Director of Agriculture by a massive 94 Runs; DCB Bank triumphs over ICICI Bank by 42 Runs

Bhubaneswar:26/2/25: In today’s opening match of the 20th Secretariat Cup Cricket Tournament, IDCO emerged victorious by a dominant 94-run margin against the Director of Agriculture. Winning the toss and opting to bat first, IDCO posted a challenging total of 160/3 in their allotted 17 overs. The Director of Agriculture was all-out for just 66 runs in 14 overs. The star of the match was Chandramani Biswal from IDCO, who scored a brilliant 62 runs and then followed up with a crucial bowling performance, claiming 3 wickets for just 10 runs in 3 overs. His all-round performance earned him the “Man of the Match” award.

For the Director of Agriculture, Pritabash Pradhan top-scored with 14 runs, but the team struggled to build partnerships and were bowled out cheaply. In the second match of the day, DCB Bank defeated ICICI Bank by 42 runs. DCB Bank batting first posted a modest total of 105/9 in the allotted 17 overs. Sampad Patnaik was the top scorer for DCB Bank with 27 runs.
In response, ICICI Bank’s batting line-up collapsed under pressure, finishing with just 63 runs for the loss of 10 wickets in 13.3 overs. Pintu Sharma was the top scorer for ICICI Bank with 32 runs, but despite his efforts, the team could not chase down the target. Dibyesh Mohanty of DCB Bank was the standout performer, claiming 4 wickets for just 5 runs in 3.3 overs, earning the “Man of the Match” award. Rudra Pattanayak also impressed for ICICI Bank, taking 4 wickets for 15 runs in 4 overs, but his efforts were not enough to prevent the defeat. Pradeepta Mishra, Suman Maharana were the umpires of today’s matches and Sambit Ghadei was the scorer.
