Sports promoter Pankaj Lochan Mohanty has been elected unopposed as the President of the Odisha Cricket Association

Cuttack:15/2/25:Ace Sports promoter Pankaj Lochan Mohanty has been elected unopposed as the President of the Odisha Cricket Association (OCA).

Mohanty was the only candidate who filed nomination papers for the position. His nomination was validated, and no objections were received against it. The formal announcement of his election will be made in due course, the OCA Electoral Officer said in a notification.

Mohanty is expected to resign as the Vice President before the Special General Meeting on February 23, 2025. He had previously served as the President of the OCA and is known for promoting sports and cricket in Odisha.

The previous President, Pranab Prakash Das, resigned citing personal reasons.
