Naveen Discusses with Senior BJD Leaders regarding the submission of a memorandum to the 16th Finance Commission

Bhubaneswar:1/2/25: Leader of Opposition (LoP) in the State Assembly Naveen Patnaik held a discussion with the senior leaders of the Biju Janata Dal regarding the submission of a memorandum to the 16th Finance Commission.

LoP Naveen discussed a range of issues about the interests of the people of the State.

Earlier today, the BJD supremo came down heavily on the Central Government for ignoring the genuine demand of Odisha in the Union budget 2025-26.

Naveen said that the youth of the country are in dire need of jobs and common people are bearing the brunt of unchecked price rises. Unfortunately, two of the most pressing challenges the country is facing have not been addressed in the budget.

“Odisha has been rightfully demanding special category status given the numerous natural calamities it faces every year. While other states are getting special provisions in the budget, yet again Odisha’s genuine demand has been completely overlooked by the Central Government”,’ Naveen expressed.
