PM Modi reminisces about his mother while relishing ‘Kheer’ with tribal family

Bhubaneswar: 17/9/24:Prime Minister Narendra Modi turned emotional while addressing a public gathering in Bhubaneswar on his birthday. During his speech, he fondly remembered his late mother and shared a touching moment with the audience.

“When my mother was alive, I always used to visit her on my birthday to seek her blessings. She used to feed me ‘Gud’ (jaggery). She is not there anymore but my Adivasi mother fed me Kheer and gave me blessings,” PM Modi said, his voice filled with emotion.

The Prime Minister was in Bhubaneswar to inaugurate various development projects and interact with beneficiaries of the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana – Urban (PMAY-U). During his visit, he was treated to Odisha’s popular sweet delicacy, Kheer, by a tribal family in the Gadakana area. This gesture deeply moved him, reminding him of his mother’s love and blessings.

PM Modi’s visit to Bhubaneswar was part of his birthday celebrations, which coincided with the ‘Sewa Pakhwada’ initiative. He spent time interacting with the beneficiaries, discussing their experiences and concerns, and encouraging them to participate in the ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’ initiative by planting a tree.

The Prime Minister’s heartfelt words and the warm reception he received from the people of Bhubaneswar highlighted the deep connection he shares with the citizens and his commitment to their welfare.
