BJP government of Odisha has failed to solve the potato crisis

Bhubaneswar:12/8/24: The BJP government has failed to solve the potato crisis in the state, alleged Santrupt Misra, Political Secretary to BJD President Naveen Patnaik.

Addressing a press conference at Sankha Bhawan, the BJD national spokesperson said that the government has to protect the interests of the people.

Targeting the State government on the issue of potato price hikes and shortages, Misra said, “We don’t know what Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi has discussed with his West Bengal counterpart. Our concern is how the price of potatoes will be reduced and how the hardships of the common people will be removed”.

Had the government worked proactively earlier, such a situation would not have arisen. The government could have brought potatoes from elsewhere. This was not the case during the BJD government because the government was well prepared then, the BJD leader said.
