Regional Institute of Education Bhubaneswar celebrated 62nd Foundation Day

Bhubaneswar:5/8/24: The Regional Institute of Education (RIE) Bhubaneswar today celebrated its 62nd Foundation Day with a series of vibrant and engaging events that highlighted the institution’s commitment to excellence in the area of school education and teacher education. The event featured Chief Guest Prof. Dinesh Prasad Saklani, Director of NCERT, and Guest of Honor, Prof. Ashok Kumar Nagawat, Vice Chancellor of Delhi Skill and Entrepreneurship University. Prof. P. C. Agarwal, Principal, highlighted the institute’s remarkable achievements and commitment to academic excellence during the last six decades and more. The esteemed guests delivered inspiring speeches. Prof. Saklani emphasized the transformative role of National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 and Curriculum Frameworks in quality improvement of school education and teacher education in the country.  Appreciating the endeavor of RIE Bhubaneswar, he advised collaborative efforts for growth and excellence. Prof. Nagawat underscored the importance of integrating skill development and adapting to technological advancements in education. An MoU was signed between RIE Bhubaneswar and Delhi Skill and Entrepreneurship University (DESU), New Delhi, to enhance collaboration in skill development and educational programs. The celebration included a felicitation ceremony honoring retired faculty and staff members for their invaluable contributions and cultural performances showcasing India’s rich cultural heritage. RIE Bhubaneswar expressed gratitude to all attendees and looks forward to shaping the future of learning in India with insights from esteemed leaders and a commitment to innovation, driven by a collaborative spirit and shared vision for quality education. The alumni association members were present on the occasion. The Administrative Officer Mr. S.K.Rout presented vote of thanks in the programme coordinated by Dr. Kalinga Ketaki.

He had made solid contribution on cinema in many odia Dailies and weekly such as Samaj, Prajatantra, Dharatri, Samaya, Satabadi, and weekly Samaya.
