Former MLA and senior leader of Congress Chiranjib Biswal joined the Biju Janata Dal

Bhubaneswar:31/3/24: Former MLA and senior leader of Congress Chiranjib Biswal today joined the Biju Janata Dal. Chiranjib, a two-time MLA from Jagatsinghpur district joined the ruling party today at a special program held at Sankha Bhavan in Bhubaneswar.

Chiranjib is the son of Senior Congress leader and former Deputy Chief Minister Basanta Biswal. Chiranjib was elected to the Odisha Assembly from Tirtol in 2004 and from Jagatsinghpur Constituency in 2014. He along with his thousands of supporters today joined the Biju Janata Dal in the presence of senior party leaders Manas Mangaraj, Sasmit Patra, Priyabrata Majhi, and others. Chiranjib had resigned from the Congress yesterday.
