All Three Candidates Elected Unopposed to Rajya Sabha from Odisha

Bhubaneswar: 20/2/24:All three candidates were on Tuesday elected unopposed to the Rajya Sabha from Odisha.

Two BJD candidates Debashish Samantaray and Subhasish Khuntia, and BJP candidate and Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw were elected unopposed to the Upper House of the Parliament from Odisha.

Returning Officer Abanikanta Patnaik announced the names of the elected persons after the deadline for withdrawal of nominations ended this afternoon.

As the three candidates filed their papers for three seats to be vacant, there was no need for an election, the Returning Officer said.
