Archaeological Survey of India will commence repair work at Natamandap of Jagannath temple from17th,November,2023

Bhubaneswar: 16/11/23:The Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) will commence repair work at Natamandap (dancing hall) of Jagannath temple at Odisha Puri town tomorrow (November 17).

The Shree Jagannath Temple Administration (SJTA) today provided the required approval to the ASI to carry out the repair work.

The Orissa High Court yesterday directed the ASI to start repair work at Natamandap on November 16 (today) while hearing a case pertaining to the conservation of the 12th-century shrine.

“The ASI will commence Natamandap repair work tomorrow. The temple administration today gave its nod to the ASI. The repair work will be done between 6 am and 10 pm on a day without causing any hindrances to the devotees and the rituals of the presiding deities,” said SJTA Chief Administrator Ranjan Kumar Das.
