On the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti ‘Jan sahabat padayatra’ has been started by Biju Janata Dal

Bhubaneswar:2/10/23:Today on account of Gandhi Jayanti ‘Jan sahabat padayatra’ has been started by Biju Janata Dal Odisha BJD President as well as Hon’ble Chief Minister Shri Naveen Patnaik has inaugurated the foot march from Netaji field located at Ward No-57 of Bargarh Brit Colony under Bhubaneswar Metropolitan Corporation. The foot march will go on from October 2nd till BJD Foundation Day. The Padayatra will continue till October 11, the birth anniversary of Jayaprakash Narayan.

This year Padayatra will be observed at every constituency level along with the celebration of Gandhi Jayanti, Lal Bahadur Shastri Jayanti, Utkalmani Gopabandhu Das Jayanti, and Jayaprakash Narayan Jayanti during the Padayatra.

BJD supremo Naveen Patnaik wrote a letter to the party leaders, including MPs, MLAs, and district and block presidents about the Jana Sampark Padayatra and urged them to reach out to the people with messages of pro-people initiatives of the Government.

The party will also organize training camps for a month starting October 12 for active members of the party at Zilla Parishad zone and civic body level in all Assembly constituencies. Besides, the party will also hold blood donation camps, plantation drives, and other social activities. The Foundation Day of the BJD will be observed in all Assembly segments on December 26.
