Pramila Mallik filed a nomination for the election to the post of Speaker of Odisha Legislative Assembly

Bhubaneswar:21/9/23: Senior BJD leader Pramila Mallik on Thursday filed a nomination for the election to the post of Speaker of Odisha Legislative Assembly.

Mallik has resigned from the post of Revenue and Disaster Management prior to filing her nomination for the Assembly Speaker.

Mallik has handed over her resignation letter to Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik, which was forwarded to the Governor for approval, as per reports.

Minister of School and Mass Education of Odisha Sudam Marndi has been given additional responsibility of Minister of Revenue and Disaster Management.
The Assembly Speaker election is scheduled for Friday.
