Odisha Cabinet approved the execution four mega piped water supply projects in Puri

Bhubaneswar11/8/23:: The Odisha Cabinet chaired by Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Friday approved the execution of four mega piped water supply projects to provide safe drinking water in Puri District.

By execution of the projects, around 4,60,612 people of 498 villages under 92 GPs of 7 blocks of the district will be benefited, read a Cabinet press note.

On this account, 1,38,542 people of 139 villages under 29 GPs of Puri Sadar Block, 1,01,770 people of 135 villages under 21 GPs of Gop Block, 53,981 people of 64 villages under 10 GPs of Kakatpur Block, 86,502 people of 78 villages under 16 GPs of Delang Block, 59,772 people of 68 villages under 11 GPs of Astaranga Block, 14,640 people of 8 villages under 3 GPs of Satyabadi Block and 5,405 people of 6 villages under 2 GPs of Nimapada Block will be provided with safe drinking water.

The State Cabinet has approved the lowest tender of M/s The Indian Hume Pipe Co. Ltd., Mumbai amounting to Rs. 639,16,28,812.00 for execution of the work. The work is targeted for completion within a period of 24 months.
