Several government offices and banks will remain shut in Cuttack on Wednesday in view of the President Droupadi Murmu’s visit to the silver city

Cuttack:25/7/23: Several government offices and banks will remain shut in Cuttack on Wednesday in view of the President Droupadi Murmu’s visit to the silver city.

Cuttack Revenue department Commissioner announced it after High Court Registrar General requested for closure of government offices.

The offices which will remain shut are Board of Revenue, RDC (Central), Collectorate, Sub-collector office, sub-registrar, RTO, PDDRDA, DEO, BEO, Transport commissioner’s office, district treasury, AG office, Tehsil office, SBI main branch, Corporation bank near High Court, SBI branch at High Court, post office at Collectorate, LIC office near High Court.

On Wednesday, President Murmu will visit Cuttack.

During her visit to Cuttack on Wednesday she will offer prayers at the Chandi Temple and visit the residence of Utkal Gourab Madhusudan Das and pay floral tribute at his statue.

The president will also visit the birth place of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose and Netaji Museum in the millennial city, the official said.

Murmu is scheduled to be present at the valedictory function of the 75th year celebrations of Orissa High Court in Cuttack and address the annual function of SCB Medical College and Hospital on Wednesday. She will also grace the convocation of National Law University, Odisha, the same day.

She will return to Delhi on July 27.
