Odisha Govt Raises Health Insurance Coverage Limit To Rs 5 Lakh for Gopabandhu Sambadika Swasthya Bima Yojana

Bhubaneswar18/7/23:: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today escalated the ceiling of health insurance coverage meant for working journalists under the State government’s Gopabandhu Sambadika Swasthya Bima Yojana from the present limit of Rs 2 lakh to Rs 5 lakh, informed the Chief Minister’s Office (CMO) in Bhubaneswar.

At least 8,717 journalists working in the State will benefit from this announcement.As per the provisions envisaged in the scheme, the insurance coverage is given to five members of a beneficiary journalist’s family, including the spouse and three wholly dependent children up to the age of 25 years.
