High-level preparatory meeting chaired by the Odisha Chief Secretary has been held In view of the State visit of Hon’ble President of India

Bhubaneswar:17/7/23:In view of the visit of Hon’ble President of India Mrs. Draupadi Murmu to Odisha from July 25th to 27th and attending various programs, a high-level preparatory meeting chaired by the Chief Secretary Mr. Pradeep Kumar Jena has been held in Lok Seva Bhavan conference room. In this meeting, Additional Chief Secretary, Home Department Shri Deo Ranjan Kumar Singh informed about the various programs of the Hon’ble President of India in Odisha.

The Hon’ble President will hold a meeting with representatives of the Endangered Tribes (PVTG) of Odisha at Raj Bhavan on July 25.

On 26th, he will visit Cuttack’s Chandi Temple, Utkal Gaurav Madhusudan Das’ residence and Netaji’s Birthplace Museum. On this day, he will also join the celebrations of the 75th Foundation Day of the Cuttack High Court, National Law University, Cuttack convocation, Sriram Chandra Bhanj Medical and Hospital’s anniversary celebrations.

On 27th,  will participate in the Foundation ceremony program of the Brahmakumari Center Light House Complex at Tamando,Dasbatia, Bhubaneswar. Likewise, the Hon’ble President is scheduled to participate in the Diamond Jubilee celebrations of Bhadrak Autonomous University on 27th as well.

A detailed discussion was held in the meeting regarding extensive security and other related preparations by the State Administration and concerned District Administration from the arrival of Hon’ble President at Bhubaneswar Airport on 25th July till his return to President Bhawan, New Delhi on 27th.

Program management and security measures:.

The State Director General of Police, Inspector General of Police will be in charge of security for the President’s visit. It has been informed that a control room will be set up by the Home Department to manage the President’s visit program smoothly.

In the meeting, the accommodation of the Honorable President, security arrangements, publication and broadcasting of the program in the media, health care and treatment, ambulance, supervision of the maintenance of the roads leading to the festival site, sanitation of the roads were discussed.

 Power Department, TPCODL, TPNODL have been directed to closely monitor to ensure uninterrupted power supply at all the program sites. Relevant experienced executives will be present to check the power supply system at all the event venues.

Sufficient number of generators shall be available and ensure their operational arrangement. Provision of drinking water at the event venue, preparation of meeting venue as per the approved plan, seating arrangement for guests, barricading arrangement, necessary pass arrangement, information and public relations department giving information to various media, internet facility at the event venue, fire fighting system were discussed extensively in the meeting.
