Ratri Ghose’s dream project Reminiscing GOUR & PARBATI now on YouTube

Bhubaneswar:7/6/23: The legendary pair Gaur Parbati of the Odia film world has been remembered by his well-wishers. A related program has been organized in a star hotel in Bhubaneswar on Tuesday.

Actors, close friends and fans who knew Gaur Parbati very closely has attended the event. On this occasion, daughter of Gaur & Parbati   Ms.Ratri Ghose announced that Reminiscing GOUR & PARBATI series  will be upload on YouTube from 6th June,2023.

 The first family of Odia cinema, Gour Prasad and Parbati Ghose had contributed immensely to the growth of Odia films in over five decades. Two commendable personalities of celluloid, who had a great passion and chemistry for acting from the time they were young. Both were stage actors and movies were only a natural corollary. The husband-wife team became producers and directors and their foray into movies heralded a new saga in Odia motion picture history.

GPG Enterprise (Gour Parbati Ghose) has made a series for the YouTube, titled “Reminiscing GOUR & PARBATI” in which colleagues, peers & well-wishers have shared their memorable moments with Gour Ghose & Parbati Ghose, and which is ready to be released on the GPG Productions YouTube Channel. This program is being presented by Ratri Ghose Barman (daughter of Gour Prasad and Parbati Ghose). A fitting tribute to first Film couple of Odia cinema who changed the course of the cultural history of a long and traditional linguistic civilization through a contemporary medium.

“Reminiscing GOUR & PARBATI” is a series of interviews by Prachitara, a well-known journalist and storyteller. About twenty personalities, from different sectors of Odisha’s creative field, have shared their views.

This unique program is supported by Ratri’s aunt Khirod Naik, her husband, Shekhar Barman, and her brother, Subhro Ghose. Ratri’s daughter Pavlina Ghose and son- in- law Chris Campos, extended their unconditional financial support. Editor Deepak Kumar Das has worked diligently to execute Ratri’s vision.
